DJ Poun Joins Hip Hop Aids Awareness Tour

(Rap Newswire) - DJ Poun’ will be spinning on the 1’s & 2’s while New Yorks own MAGZ will be performing live his two UNICEF Aids Awareness songs along with a special appearance by Jamelia performing"Don't Say Goodbye" featuring MAGZ. The artists will be engaging the students in conversation on Aids prevention. In 2005, an estimated 2.8 million people died of AIDS-related causes. Approximately 380,000 of these were children under 15. Hence, Unicefs efforts to launch the global campaign UNITE FOR CHILDREN UNITE AGAINST AIDS, on October 25, 2005. 1 year later, the company is coming out to support DJ Poun’ and MAGZ in their efforts to promote aids awareness. The tour will be covered internationally by Unicef and viewed in over 156 countries and territories.

DJ Poun’ the “Trendsetter” was born Daren Smith in Paterson, N.J. Smith has been the official DJ for the 40/40 club since 2004.
