MIAMI, FL, July 25, 2008 – (Rap Newswire) Just four months shy of officially
celebrating its one-year anniversary, Hip Hop Grub Spot® has permanently
marked its footprint as the first Hip Hop themed healthy fast food global
franchise. As the "first to market" with such a unique concept, the buzz
that has since been created has intensified its impact in the fast food
industry and within the world of Hip Hop. The franchise banks off of the
success of a grassroots strategy that has created strategic alliances with
Rick Ross Charities and the NFL's Frank Gore Foundation to pave the way
for community development, youth entrepreneurship, and venture philanthropy.
With the newly created strategic alliance with N.Y.L.A. Entertainment Group/Blueprint
Creative Group, the global franchise will be positioned to partner with
Historically Black College & Universities (HBCU), secure corporate
and government joint ventures, acquire institutional investment capital,
and accommodate franchisee demand.
From the creators of HBCUEntrepreneurs.com, Inc. and Florida A&M
University's National Alumni Association Investment Committee (FAMUNAA),
Hip Hop Grub Spot® has served as a breeding ground for cultivating
community development investments while serving as an alumni organizational
blueprint for institutional development in HBCUs. Since officially opening
its doors on November 17th, 2007, Hip Hop Grub Spot® has already implemented
a host of community activities in support of its business philosophy. Last
year, the global franchise hosted a Thanksgiving turkey distribution as
well as a Christmas toy drive in conjunction with Rick Ross Charities.
The grand opening event held on January 26th, 2008 was hosted by Rick Ross
and the NFL's Frank Gore Foundation and was well attended by the media,
A-List Hip Hop celebrities and Hip Hop executives, athletes and sports
agents, and Miami-Dade political and community leaders. Since then, the
global franchise has partnered with the local U.S. Department of Labor
Job Corps in the City of Miami Gardens to hire, teach, and mentor its program’s
youth. Culinary students from Johnson and Wales University have also been
hired as executive chefs, and a weekly teen night VIP private party is
hosted to provide a protected entertaining environment for youth entrepreneurs.
The weekly "Who's Reppin' Who" Tuesday industry competition supports and
fosters leadership among youth and Hip Hop artists. The "Who's Voting Who"
competition partners with local government entities targeted at increasing
youth involvement in community politics and government, and the "Who's
Tithing Who" competition partners with faith-based entities to promote
the economic impact of spiritual development. Not only do these types of
programs and initiatives shed a positive light on the negativity often
blamed on Hip Hop, but it also serves to curb crime and juvenile delinquency
by creating jobs and business opportunities and engaging an entire community.
It takes a community to invest in our neighborhoods and reverse the
issues and problems facing today's urban youth. Hip Hop Grub Spot®
has taken the initiative to spearhead the movement but doing it alone will
be like reinventing the wheel. To become involved as a corporate partner
or franchisee and reinvest in our urban communities, please contact N.Y.L.A.
