RockSTAR’s 3rd Annual Battle of the Bands
“Legendary Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood and The Crash Mansion LA Partner
with RockSTAR Music Education for Battle of the Bands”
Culver City, Calif. (Rap Newswire) - Get ready to shake, rattle and
roll as school children make musical history at the RockSTAR Battle of
the Bands! RockSTAR Music Education is proud to announce its third
annual partnership with the legendary Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood and its
inaugural day at the Crash Mansion for an extraordinary two –part Battle
of the Bands competition.
On June 7th more than 80 RockSTAR bands from over 30 local elementary
schools will be rocking out at the Crash Mansion from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
The twenty top bands will be chosen to play at our main event at the Hard
Rock Café’s 37th Anniversary commemorating their Founder’s Day on
Saturday, June 14th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. In an amazing showdown of rhythm
and melody, the top two bands will be crowned the Ultimate Rockers by celebrity
host DMC of legendary hip-hop group RUN-DMC and guest judges Taylor Dayne
and platinum album producer Gerry Brown (Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston,
Erykah Badu and Tone! Toni! Tone!). DMC will also be performing
the legendary RUN-DMC/AeroSmith 1986 hit, “Walk this Way” with Walt Disney
recording artist Boo Boo Stewart and the Echoes of Angels.
The grand prizewinners of the battle of the bands will receive studio
time in singer, songwriter and producer Rafael Saadiq’s (Tony! Toni! Tone!/Lucy
Pearl) Blakslee Recording Studio, which will be produced and engineered
by 42 time platinum and gold record producer Gerry Brown. Additionally,
legendary guitarist Slash of Guns n’ Roses autographed two Guitar Hero
III’s, that will be auctioned to benefit the RockSTAR Music Education program.

RockSTAR is a comprehensive music education program that gives students

its kindergarten through sixth-grade students how to play guitar, bass,
