Wilmington, DE (Rap Newswire) January 8th – After four months of being
housed at the startup Star Time Radio online broadcast network, the country’s
only syndicated college radio show is making a major move. The radio show
will broadcast its preview today before re-launching the show at its new
home on hip hop site Digital Grime (www.digitalgrime.com) as part of an
expanding network of online broadcasting offered by the site.
The station, created by Dewey “Formula” Jackson in September of 2007,
broadcasted to only two schools when it was picked up by the Deepoise’s
Radio (DPS) Network and continued to expand to an impressive 41 colleges.
After a move over a trial run at the Star Time Radio network, Platinum
Family finally found a fit with Digital Grime. “I think the move to Digital
Grime is great because in building something form the ground up its great
to be in a great environment,” says Formula. “It’s good to work with a
company that shares your vision.”
Platinum Family Radio will air its first three hour broadcast of hip
hop, R&B and old school exclusively on Digital Grime on Friday, January
10th. The show already has an official fan site (www.digitalgrime.com/group/theplatinumfamily)
which is currently one of the most popular on the site. Formula also hosts
the site’s official show, “No Mercy Radio” alongside friend Chauncey “Night
Train” Hendrix and features the popular show “Couchtime Radio” with Neek
the Love Coach.
